The Airport Chronicles

Despite all my complaining, I actually enjoy airport pickups. I remember when Haris, Dodi and I went to pick up Nic and enjoyed a completely entertaining hour at the airport pointing at every person who disembarked off the plane and saying 'THATs NIC!'

Picking up Kurt was a completely different experience altogether. A endlessly delayed flight (from 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM to 6:05 AM), a spying plan (that included me covering myself from head to toe to snap pictures, Omar looking shady and dodgy, and Mikaal and Rahim hiding behind a pillar to take some more pictures of Kurt looking confused and disoriented as to why noone was there to receive him), a very sleepy bunch of people, two trolleys, Puneet's energy cycle - and the lingering thought that Emad and Puneet had to go meet a Board member at 10 AM!

Regardless of all that - Kurt has finally arrived in Pakistan and ladies and gentlemen, he is more desi than he looks, and in a few weeks he will be speaking better Urdu than the entire MC combined!

A very fun year lies ahead :)
