Reporting LIVE from NLC 2007!
I happen to be one of the few (unlucky) delegates who cannot stay at the venue for the conference *sniff sniff* but then I have the job of reporting what's happening at NLC to the network so here are the updates....
- THE OC has done a brilliant job with the arrangement, snow white and the seven dwarfs ROCK!:)
- The opening plenary was brilliant with delegates from Lahore, Karachi (SZABIST AND IBA!!!) and Islamabad! There was maximum energy in the plen - couldn't have been better!
- The chair, facis and MC are working super hard to make this conference awesome and it's already begun! :D
- The MC/Faci/Chair roll call was the best! [:)]
AND NOW for the best part .......
WE had MCP Candidte speeches today, highlights:
- Saba Imtiaz: An opening presentation talking about her personality which extremely motivation, emotional and inspiring. Followed by a powerpoint about her focus areas and plans for the next one year. To wrap it up, she made her ideology for the year very clear through an 'action' that I will not be able to put into words, but it made it's impact!
- Nida Rasheed: Nida's opening presentation was based around the focus areas of @Pakistan's vision 2010! Nida was all about concentrating on MEMBERS in the next one year, she highlighted the kind of results she was out to achieve through member development, motivation, member learning and finally creating great leaders!
- Sohaib Athar: Sohaib entered Pakistani style, wearing the traditional Shalwar Kameez with a shawl! He talked about the kind of experience AIESEC has given him and he's out to deliever the same to the entire country! He believe that his commitment and passion is what will drive down to the members of AIESEC Pakistan and hence they can contribute to the society.
- Taha Durrani: His opening presentation was his history (AIESEC) in pictures along with his proposed vision for 2007-2008! Very creative and inspiring! Next, he ran a powerpoint talking about his personal expertise and what kind of contribution he would be making. His ideology for the next year is "AIESEC" itself!
Candidates: If I messed this up don't kill me, I'm really tired!:$
Good luck to all the candidates, this is going to be one exciting conference!:)

Sharmeen!
Thanks so much for this!
I'm sure you would want to stay at the conference but this helps those of us who want to be, but can't, be there at least virtually!
