He's here! He's here!

Dodi, me and............Nic! (wearing flower garlands, full desi style!)

Haris, me and Nic - (btw, these garlands are usually given to you if you're getting married or have come back from a religious pilgrimage - hmm, lets see what Nic gets upto ;) )

Waiting for Nic!

Dodi, Haris and I went to the airport tonight to pick up our first CEEDer into Pakistan, AIESEC in Curtin's LCP Nic Trim, and while we were waiting for him to come, we spent quite an entertaining hour wondering if every foreign looking guy was Nic, freaking Saira out on the phone (Haris:"Saira, does he have your number cos we've reached now and he might be wandering outside?" [we were there on time! :P]) and sitting on the luggage trolley (carrying 3 garlands around is too much work!) and asking the guys to push me around the airport.

P.S: They refused, and then I pushed myself forward until I almost crashed into some guy :$)

we love you oc - we doooo

AIESEC Karachi has been on a rolll....i haven't seen the LC THIS active ever and I'm loving every second of it. =)

I was at the OC meeting this morning, and the way ideas were flying all over the place with just 4 people in the room. We had our moments of 'wandering' off - and of course Delia's constant supply of Hershies Kisses just added to the momentum.

2 days at the most beautiful beach house (all thanks to Haris:D) - could the conference be any more perfect?

SDC 2005 and the lovely hut....

hmmm this is the first time im posting a blog on aiesec karachi, heck the first time im posting a blog anywhere. i'm sooooooo crazy hyped up about SDC 2005! It's going to be the first national conference that Karachi is going host. wow everythings going so crazy right now! things are really starting to fall into place and the members are starting to show their real potential which makes me so proud :D we went to check out the beach hut today at sandspit, it was sooo amazingly nice. Like a HUGE house that we could have all to ourselves with nobody to bother us for miles and miles and the beach right out front where u have access to it anytime u want. wow if i could id live there forever. ofcourse security issues did come up and we've pretty much decided that we're not gonna spend the nights there cuz there. ive heard that turtles come out at night to lay eggs there, wow i cant get the image out of my mind. the sun setting over the water. i know SDC is going to be absolutely wicked!

AIESEC Karachiiiiiiiiii! :)

Insights into Insight XP

I remember, when I started Insight XP, for the first few hours, all I wanted to do was strangle Ernie. It took me two days to pass the test, but we have stories all abound in our LC of people taking days and days to pass it, and finally turning into Insight XP zombies, racing into the AIESEC office to announce their victory every time they cleared a section. Considering all that, I was left dumbfounded when one of our new recruits (an ICXer, no less, ha!), Haris, passed the test in 8 hours! I actually went onto the system and checked if my eyes had finally given up on me and I was starting to see freakishly abnormal things...but he's certified and all of us are completely wowed right now. All this excitement makes me want to give the exam again - though as soon as I said that, another newbie, Naveen, said rightaway - 'Take it for me!' - I think I'm going to stay mum for now..
