Dear AIESEC in Pakistan,
This will be my last formal address to you as the President of AIESEC in Pakistan.
When I was a young girl I had a dream to make a difference in the world. Throughout my entire life I have never lost sight of this dream and knew that one day I would be given the opportunity to complete something that would make that difference. The opportunity showed itself in October 2004 when Kartik Sharma asked me to establish AIESEC into Pakistan. In accepting this position I knew it that it would not be an easy year, but I looked forward to the challenge as I believed that AIESEC could do so much for the youth of the country.
Looking back over the last year I can confidently say that my life has been irreversible changed and I thank you all for this. You have opened your hearts and homes to me over this time and taught me so much. I thank you for sharing stories with me about your country, your family and yourself. I also thank you for working at developing AIESEC into Pakistanyou are the founders of what will one day become the largest organization that offers life changing experiences in Pakistan.
Along side each of you, there are several other special people who contributed to the development AIESEC in Pakistan over this last year. These special people were Delia, Nicole and Sharmin, to the three of you thank you for everything! You were much more then just my colleagues you were my best mates! I will never forget all the experiences and inspiring conversations we shared together. Through you I have grown. Thank you.
Last week, while reviewing the countries progress Delia said something that stopped me in my tracks. She said ori, we can now go home, the members in Pakistan are strong and motivated to take their AIESEC country forward. Delz was so right and it is now up to you to give the AIESEC experience to countless other people.
I wish Emad Nadim all the best for his upcoming term along with Joanna and Kurt, together you will take AIESEC to the next level which will further strengthen AIESEC in Pakistan. To the new MC team 06-07 I raise a toast to you and wish you all the best for your term!
Thank you AIESEC in Pakistan for making me the person I am today and enabling me to fulfill a dream I had so long ago.
Yours truly,
Tori Anderson
